The University of Sheffield runs Achieve More each year, inviting first year students to work in teams across their faculty to come up with solutions to real world problems.
I was tasked with producing an animation that would advise the students on how they could recognise the skills they were developing through this module, and how they could use these in future job roles.
The animation was designed in Adobe Illustrator and animated in Adobe After Effects. In this piece I particularly made use of After Effects’ 2.5D abilities to create isometric scenes. This was achieved by arranging 2D layers in 3D space, then using the zoom of a camera positioned far away to reduce any visible perspective.
The style for the piece was taken from the University’s designs for the Achieve More programme that the story focuses on; helping students identify how the module would support them.
